Don't burn your bridges, KJ

Katherine Jenkins is to try to crack America. It's good to see that she says "I'm not deserting the UK", because there is a history of British stars who failed to make it over there but couldn't pick up their careers again on their return.

I agree with you. I have been a great admirer of Katherine since she first became a public figure but she is suddenly taking a very strange new path.

She is once again regurgitating old and hackneyed interviews to help promote her next CD - nothing new in the interview content and just the same Q & A's from the past 3-4 years. She has conducted a very risque photo-shoot in GQ lad's/men's magazine; and now the decision to have a go in the US. It all smacks of having run out of ideas as a classical singer.
So what is it to be? - a pop star in the US and on the cover of Playboy?
I wish Katherine well BUT does she (or her managment) have any idea where she is now going.

I've been thinking of going across the pond myself.

The banks are holding the goverment to ransom judging by the 8am news this morning, the British Chambers of Commerce say we are in recession (now they are noticing), unemployment is on the up.

I'm really surprised that we haven't got more outward migration than we have.

The other Friday I went to an "Irish Wake", someone leaving for Canada; to be a rubber ducker (trucker) he sent his CV into a firm in Canada and they asked "when can you start" - I really don't think the UK has got anything going for it, and the way WAG is running down Wales, we will remain the Poor Nation out of the Union.

Last person out of the country please switch off the lights.
